Bagel is traditionally shaped by hand into the form of a ring from yeasted wheat dough which is characterized by a crisp, shiny crust.
Bagels are made from the basic bread ingredients of flour, yeast, salt, and sweetening.
The first written records of the bagel date to the year 1610 in Central Europe. Accounts of the royal court in Poland mention obwarzanek, a ring-shaped, boiled, bagel-like bread.
Bagels, it turns out, are very much a bread that pulls through hard times, dreams, visions, organizational development, good luck, and good food.
📌Today there are different types of bagel varieties which some of them are:
- Obwarzanek krakowski, Poland
- Simit, Tutkey
- Bagel, Montreal
- Girde naan, China
